Adidas Puremotion Adapt 2.0 is a comfortable athleisure shoe made of recycled synthetic materials with a snug-fitting upper, lace-up system, and secure toe bumper with a rear pull tab for trouble-free wearing. Like the Adidas Runfalcon 2.0, the upper sits on the Cloudfoam midsole foam, providing a balance of cushioning and stability.
Unlike the previous version, which had no lacing but two intersecting rubber-like bands, the Adidas Puremotion Adapt 2.0 has a lace-up system. Adidas utilized the straight bar lacing style but in a different way. Instead, the round, elastic bungee laces from loops are attached to the midsole on both sides. This system guarantees easy wearing and snug midfoot hold with eliminated squeezes and tightness.
Adidas Puremotion Adapt 2.0 Upper Design and Fitting
The one-piece upper material is neither thin nor blanket-like thick, so it is moderately breathable and exceptionally comfortable despite the lack of significant padding in the collar. The upper utilizes a sock-like construction. Besides the quality upper material, the design is stylish and minimalistic.
The top area in the previous version was tight; thus, replacing the large straps in the midfoot with thin laces has lessened restrictions on the top of the foot. In addition, the new version is now more breathable than the previous version.
Overall, the upper fits true to size, takes the foot’s shape, and has a sock-like fitting. Purefoam Adapt 2.0 is easy to wear and remove, thanks to the slip-on construction and bungee laces.
Puremotion Adapt 2.0 Midsole Design and Performance
The midsole utilized the Cloudfoam midsole foam, which is relatively firm and cushioned. This foam offers a comfortable instep and protection from ground impact., The full-length cloudfoam midsole foam makes up the outsole too. However, the traction cannot be underrated. It is sufficient, especially for indoor walking but not outdoor conditions. I don’t recommend walking in the rain and on slippery surfaces or running with Purefoam Adapt 2 because the lack of robust outsole rubber has taken away a lot of traction.
Why you should buy Adidas Puremotion Adapt 2.0
They are stylish, flexible, and super lightweight with comfortable and secure fitting for summer walking, all-day standing and walking, un-repeated running, or as a vacation sneaker. It is exceptionally comfortable and fits those who stand for long at work or those who want shoes they can slip on the go.
Also, fitting can be adjusted with the laces without feeling pressure on the foot. Another reason is that Adidas Puremotion Adapt 2, as an athleisure shoe, has various colors to match your casual wear.
Adidas Puremotion Adapt 2 is also machine washable if you are worried about them catching dirt.
Who shouldn’t buy Adidas Puremotion Adapt 2.0?
It is not suitable for those who need support. The Puremotion Adapt 2.0 lacks supportive features. Instead, it is significantly flexible.
Besides, the lack of outsole rubber makes it not ideal for someone looking for a regular running shoe or walks in rocky and trail conditions. Adidas Runfalcon 2.0 is a better option for casual wear and rough running.
